School Field Trip: The Magnificent Dhauladhar Ranges (Himalayas)

One Earth Foundation recently organized an experiential Field excursion  IBDP students from one of the leading schools in Mumbai. 30+ enthusiastic students accompanied by 4 teachers participated in this 5 day trip.  The theme of the trip was “Exploring the Magnificent Dhauladhars”and some of the days activities covered

  • A challenging and fun filled 8 Km trek to a ridge that gave a spectacular view of the entire Dhauladhars
  • The Tibetan Museum
  • The Norbulingka Institute and the Dalai Lama Temple Complex
  • A floristic study of the lower Himalayas
  • Bird watching excursion

The photos reveal the immense natural and cultural wealth of the region
